Langtang Gosaikund Trek
Langtang Gosainkund Trekking is one of middle level trekkings. This trekking requires trekking experience and a good physical form.
This trekking covers Langtang valley, the pretty Langtang valleys, Kyanjin Monastery, view of Langtang, Ganesh himal, Lang sisa ri, Yabru himal, Dorje Lakpa/Dokpo, Langup, Morimoto peak. This trekking route follows along the Langtang river from Syarpa goan. Gosainkund is a very popular and holly lake in Hinduism and Buddhism. If the lake remain calm, it can be seen the image of Lord Shiva in middle the lake at buttom. People celebrate great festivals two times in a year.
These festivals are very important in shamanism. There are other lakes more than 100 lakes. Among them Bhairab Kund, Saraswati kund, Dhudh Kund, Nag Kund, Surya Kund, Bhut Kunda etc. From Lauri Binayak pass Ganesh himal range and Langtang Lirung I and II, Manaslu, Nadgi Chuli and Nagdi Himal can be seen.
There are villages of mixed ethnics, Tamang villages and Sherpa villages. The route passes through forest and villages. Rhododendron blossom in March April. Beautiful landscape and Jugal Himal ragne can be seen from this route.
Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu 1350m.
You will be welcomed by our representative at Tribhuvan International Airport upon your arrival, then transferred to hotel. Our representative will brief you the logistics of your different phases before dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu 1350m.
You will be taken to sight seeing in world heritage places including Soyambhunath, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath by our tour guide. Preparation for trekking in the Evening, (If any stuff needed to be purchased for Trekking)
Day 03: Kathmandu to Dhunche drive. 1950m.
Travelling through Trishuli (Nuwakot) today the journey length will depend on the season and the number of landslides caused by heavy rains. On a good day it will take you 7 to 8 hours. The views on the way are very pretty.
Day 04: Kathmandu to Dhunche drive.1950m.

Day 05: Dhunche to Syabru village. 2200m.
Walking along the road to Thulo Bharku and steep up to Barbal for lunch and walk along the side and over night. It is beautiful countryside with Oaks and Pine trees and a lot of bird life around.
Day 06: Syabru to Lama Hotel 2410m.
After breakfast descends down along the village and cross the bridge and climb other side. Descend down to landslide and gradually climb along the Langtang River.
Day 07: Lama Hotel to Langtang Village 3350m.
Your gentle climb begins with soon steepness high above the river to Ghora Tabela. 2970m. you will soon find yourself in open country with scattered Tamang settlements. You will have climbed nearly 100m today relatively steadily. The village here is home to some yak herds and cheese factories, worth exploring if you have the energy.
Day 08: Langtang valley to Kyangjin Gompa 3780m.
You will climb to the ridge this morning marked with a big chorten and some Mani walls, from here you will have views of Kyanjing Gompa and the icefall from Langtang Lirung surrounded by snowy mountains. You will be walking for around 3 hours today so time to explore the area this afternoon.
Day 09: Kyangjin Gompa 3780m.
An excellent look out can be reached by climbing the slopes immediately behind the Kyangjin. The majestic 7200m Langtang Lirung rises above the glaciers. A visit to Cheese factory completes the day. It is really a good experience to try a climb to Tsergo Ri (5033m.).
Day 10: Kyangjin to Lama Hotel 2410m.
You will return the way you came today following the Langtang Khola river to Langtang Village and on to Ghra Tabela and down to Lama Hotel
Day 11: Lama Hotel to Syabru 2200m.
The beginning of your journey today is very pretty and offers magnificent views. You will begin descending gently before it steepness to Syabrubesi.
Day 12: Syabru to Sing Gompa 3350m.
Your day's walk of 6 hours will take you to Sing Gompa climbing steadily for the majority of the day until you see the small Buddhist Monastery of Sing Gompa where you will spend the night.
Day 13: Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda 4380m.
You start with a climb through rhododendron forests this morning, if you are here during the spring, enjoy the fabulous colors as the trees are in bloom, eventually you will emerge at the saddle of Chalang Pati (3380m), you will soon enter the Gosainkunda protected area, please do respect your surrounding environment and local cultures. There are few places to stop for water today so be sure you have enough on you. You will enjoy great views along the ridge of Langtang Lirung from the north and looking west you can see Ganesh Himal and Manaslu, Tibet is also visible in the distance. Shortly the lakes will come in to view as the climb continues gently, you will then drop to the third lake, the hold Gosainkunda (4380m). Many people come here to worship and bath in the lake during full moon festivals every August.
Day 14: Gosainkunda to Ghopte 3430m.
Today is a long one on many rough rails, it will take around 5 hours, and to begin with you will follow the north side of the lake before climbing towards the pass of Laurebina La (4610m), on the way you will see more lakes as you go. You will find many cairns on the pass, from here you will begin your descent through some summer pastures to Phedi (3740m) and Dupi Chaur (3630m) and finally to Gopte (3440m).
Day 15: Ghopte to Kutumsang 2470m.
You descend into a thick forest of rhododendrons today, you will find yourself climbing and dropping over the moraine as you go before your final ascent to Therapati then You begin with an easy descent today through flower strewn meadows before arriving at Magengoth at 3150m, a very remote area of high pastures and forestry. For the first 3 hours today the trail descends gradually but the second half is steeper down to Kutumsang, a small village on a windy ridge.
Day 16: Kutumsang to Chisopani 2215m.
You descend further today through more meadows, you will be travelling for approximately 6 hours today, keep an eye out for Gul Bhanjyang Chorten close by. You cross another pass at 2620m before dropping to a little traditional Tamang village at 2130m. From here you continue Thodang Betini (2100m) and up to Jhogin Danda Ridge at 2470m followed by a steep descent to Chipling (2170m), finally you have one last ascent to Chisapani at 2300m from where you will experience spectacular views.
Day 17: Chisopani to Kathmandu 1350m.
After waking early for a dramatic sunrise this morning you will head for the village of Borlang Bhanjyang and along the Shivapuri ridge through thick forests until you reach Sundarijal where you will meet your transport. From here it is only 1hour back to Kathmandu where you will be taken to your hotel.
Day 18: Kathmandu 1350m.
Final day for relax, re-organise your bags, shopping in Kathmandu and Remember to re-confirm your flights.
Day 19: Fly back to home
This is your final day in Kathmandu before catching your flight to home, ensure you have all the stuff packed and arrive at the airport in plenty of time, Fly to home.
